The Association of Caribbean Media Workers has urged the regional media to highlight the impact the environmental crisis is having on Caribbean countries.
The ACM says this year's observance of World Press Freedom Day comes as the region grapples with climate change that is affecting the Caribbean with rising sea levels, more violent storms, and droughts.
It says the time has come, therefore, for regional media to highlight the impact the environmental crisis is already having in respective countries, especially its impact on the socio-economically disadvantaged.
World Press Freedom Day 2024 is being observed under the theme "A Press for the Planet: Journalism in the Face of the Environmental Crisis."
