Three Beryllium security guards are receiving medical treatment following another armed attack on one of the security company's courier vehicles on Tuesday afternoon.

The attack occurred at the Total Energies gas station in Harbour View, Kingston.

Radio Jamaica News was informed that about 12:55 p.m., two of the security guards went inside the Jamaica National ATM to reload the machine when a black motor vehicle with armed men drove up to the busy plaza.

A man armed with a rifle alighted the vehicle and sprayed bullets at the third guard who was providing cover.

The security team in response returned gunfire.

It's reported that the Hyundai Staria driven by the guards received extensive damage to the front and rear windscreens, passenger window, side doors and trunk.

The door and wall section of the ATM were also damaged by bullets.

The three guards received minor injuries in the attack and were removed from the scene by a Beryllium Logistics Manager to receive treatment.

The Communication Forensic & Cyber Crime Division has been contacted to extract video footage from CCTV cameras installed at the gas station.

The gunmen were unsuccessful in their bid to get cash while the getaway vehicle was later found abandoned in the Harbour View community.
