Kenneth Stewart, who was recaptured last week following his escape from the Black River Police lock-up in St. Elizabeth, is scheduled to appear in the St. Catherine Parish Court on October 31, along with his common-law wife.

The 32-year-old Stewart was held in Tryall Heights, St. Catherine on October along with Dhenesia Bogle.

Following his arrest, Mr. Stewart was charged with uttering forged documents as he showed the police a birth certificate and other documents with a different name when he was accosted.

Ms. Bogle was charged with harbouring a fugitive.

Mr. Stewart was among eight detainees who escaped from the Black River police lock-up on June 19.

His first arrest in Black River was in relation to a murder charge.

Another escapee, Richard Brown, was recaptured in St. Elizabeth, while the police are awaiting a forensic report to determine if a decomposed body which was found at Four Paths in the parish was one of the detainees.
