Cable thieves target Flow infrastructure in Manchester

Cable thieves continue to target telecommunications company, Flow, putting lives at risk in the process.

In a recent incident, unscrupulous people attempted to gain access to underground wires by removing manhole covers along the sidewalk on New Green Road in Mandeville, Manchester.

The manholes were left open, which resulted in a dog becoming trapped for more than 24 hours. The animal was rescued by a team of firefighters.

Flow estimates that the attempted theft was carried out last week.
