Carlos Hill, the former CEO of the firm, Cash Plus, has now provided the authorities with information of the whereabouts of more than US$90 million owed to depositors in the collapsed ponzi scheme.
Sources told RJR News that Hill, through one of his attorneys, on Thursday provided banking records, telephone numbers and other documents to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Paula Llewellyn.
It's understood that Hill has given an undertaking to pay over US$75 million immediately to the trustee in bankruptcy and the balance of US$15 million within the next week.
The news comes amid controversy over the alleged relationship between Hill and attorney at law Hugh Wildman, the former Cash Plus trustee in bankruptcy.
Hill was scheduled to go on trial on Monday; however Wildman intervened in the matter and told the court that Hill needed one week to provide evidence of the existence of the money owed to investors.
