A Clarendon haulage contractor was arrested by the St. Thomas police after a large quantity of ganja was found in the truck he was operating.
He is 33-year-old Fabian Watson of Mount Zion, Rock River in Clarendon.
Reports indicate that around 10:33 p.m. Wednesday, police in Morant Bay intercepted a white 1990 International motor truck, owned and driven by Mr. Watson, near the Rubis service station.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered 30 knitted bags containing ganja.
Investigators from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) were called to process the truck and its contents.
The weight and value of the ganja are not yet known.
