Dental surgeons to begin receiving new compensation packages

By Kimone Witter

Dental surgeons employed to the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the Regional Health Authorities will see the implementation of salaries and fringe benefits packages in their December pay.

President of the Union of Clerical and Administrative Employees, Vincent Morrison says he was advised by the Ministry of Finance that all the dental surgeons will be paid outstanding retroactive payments effective April 1, 2022.

The compensation package was signed off by former Minister of Finance, Dr. Nigel Clarke, on October 8 this year.

The dental surgeons had been restive over the delay in payment.
