Complaints of political misconduct can now be submitted to the Electoral Commission of Jamaica via an online portal.
The ECJ is performing the functions of Political Ombudsman under the recent amendment to the Political Ombudsman (Interim) Act.
Members of the public may now report breaches of the Act through an electronic complaint form on the ECJ's website at ecj.com.jm.
The ECJ says it also plans to release a mobile application, enabling citizens to submit video recordings of incidents directly from their smartphones.
Earl Jarrett, Chairman of the ECJ, says the commission is committed to leveraging technology to streamline the complaint resolution process, fostering greater transparency and accountability within the electoral system.
