Expansion of Princess Margaret Hospital's A&E department stalled

The expansion of the Accident and Emergency Department at the Princess Margaret Hospital in St. Thomas has again been delayed.

The $143 million project, which commenced in November 2015, was expected to be completed within 12 months.

Information reaching RJR News is that the delays have been caused by issues with the contractors.

Colleen Wright, Parish Manager at the St. Thomas Health Services, confirmed that despite the delays, the work is expected to be completed by November this year.
