Four men have been arrested and charged after allegedly robbing a United States visitor at gunpoint of jewellery, valued at $5 million, while at a party in St. Ann over the Heroes weekend.

Those charged are 28-year-old Oshane Fitten, a musical engineer and 25-year-old Jordan Grant, both of St. Andrew addresses. The other accused - both from St. Catherine - are 26-year-old Miguel Thomas, otherwise called 'Plummie' and 26-year-old music producer Antonio Wright, also known as 'CJ'.

The men are charged with possession of criminal property and being part of a criminal organisation.

Their court date is being finalised.

The allegations are that on October 18, the visitor, who is a businessman, was at a party at Plantation Cove in Priory with other men, including Grant and Fitten.

Sometime after 3 a.m., the businessman was about to leave the party when one of the men pulled out a firearm and robbed him of a gold chain and Cartier watch, both valued at US$30,000.

The men escaped in a pick-up truck.

A few days later, Grant allegedly contacted the businessman and demanded J$2 million to return the stolen items.

However, the complainant indicated that he did not have that amount of money and offered $1 million.

They agreed to meet at a venue in Richmond for the hand over of the money.

A report was made to the police and a sting operation was set up.

All four accused were held when they turned up at the location.

They were searched and the stolen items found.

The police say Grant and Fitten were positively identified by the complainant as the men who robbed him.
