The police have held four men and seized two illegal firearms with over 50 rounds of ammunition after foiling an apparent murder plot in East Kingston on Friday afternoon.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that a Toyota Probox and a Nissan AD Wagon motor car, in which the men were travelling, were intercepted along Windward Road about 1:50 p.m.
Detective Inspector Shamal Wisdom, head of the Specialised Operations Crime Investigation Unit, told Radio Jamaica News that the police operation was intelligence-driven.
The two vehicles were also seized during the operation.
