Four persons are in police custody following the seizure of a weapon and several rounds of ammunition by the St Mary police.
Among them is a man said to be a person of interest in a murder in St Andrew
The police, reportedly acting on intelligence, intercepted a motor vehicle with the four persons aboard.
The Caribbean Search Centre was contacted and a search of the vehicle was conducted in the presence of the occupants at the Port Maria police station, during which a Taurus G2 9mm pistol and twelve rounds of 9mm cartridges were found.
