Grenada has expressed deep concern about what it describes as an escalation of activities in the Caribbean Sea.
The government says the Caribbean Sea remains the lifeblood of fishers and inter-island traders whose safety and freedom of movement are paramount.
It added that while illicit maritime activities pose challenges, these must be dealt with through lawful means and stronger regional cooperation.
Grenada has called for dialogue and diplomacy as the only acceptable tools for resolving differences.
Reaffirming its commitment to the Caribbean as a zone of peace, Grenada called on regional and international partners to respect and uphold this principle as tensions heighten.
