One of two security guards implicated in the murder of
well-known educator Calvin Fitz Henley has been charged with murder.
He is Sadiq Sudine, 26.
The security guard was charged Tuesday night by Detectives from the St. Andrew Central Police Division.
He was pointed out on an identification parade on Saturday.
The second guard implicated in the killing is scheduled to face an identification parade.
Two lawyers representing him withdrew from the case, forcing the police to delay the ID process.
The security guards were detained more than two weeks ago after Mr. Fitz-Henley was found on May 19 with his throat slashed on Holborn Road in New Kingston.
Eyewitnesses reportedly saw two security guards beating Mr. Henley shortly before he was found dead.
The cops are also studying video tapes which captured the 76-year-old being killed.
Mr. Fitz-Henley who suffered from Alzheimer's disease went missing after he accompanied a family member to a market in Downtown Kingston.
He operated Fitz-Henley's Secretarial Institute in Cross Roads for more than 30 years.
He is the uncle of Member of Parliament for South Central St. Catherine, the People's National Party's Sharon Hay-Webster.
