Kevon Leslie, the man charged with the murder of his partner, Shadae Brown, in 2023, was found guilty in the Manchester circuit court on Tuesday and is to be sentenced on February 26.
A seven-member jury returned the guilty verdict in the case.
Afterwards, Family members said they felt relieved at the outcome of the case, adding that, it provides some level of comfort and closure to the family and friends of Shadae.
Mr Leslie was arrested after Ms Brown, a nurse, was found stabbed to death at their Wales, Newport residence on the night of March 11, 2023.
He reportedly fled the scene immediately after the killing.
A postmortem revealed that Ms Brown was stabbed more than 20 times.
