Magisterial recount to resume today for Ginger Ridge division

The magisterial recount for the Ginger Ridge division in St. Catherine is to resume today in the parish court.
 
Radio Jamaica News was informed that four of 29 boxes remain to be counted.
 
The People's National Party's Ralston Wilson defeated the Jamaica Labour Party's Jeremiah Edwards in the recent local government election.
 
Mr. Wilson received 1,017 votes to 1,010 for Mr. Edwards.
 
Attorney-at-law Carolyn Chuck, who represents Mr. Edwards, said her client received an additional ballot during Wednesday's recount.
 
Dr. Kes Miller, who represents Mr. Wilson, indicated that his client received two more votes.
