Main suspect in Salt Spring triple killing now in custody

The main suspect in the murder of two boys and a man along the Flower Hill main road in Salt Spring, St James has been captured.

The suspect was taken into custody during a police/military operation on Friday night.

This was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police Clifford Blake.

An "intelligence-driven" joint police-military operation led to the capture of Travis Cummings, aka "Chi Chi", "the main suspect in the murder of those three persons at Salt Spring, including the two children," he revealed.

"That's a significant operational success for the security forces," he declared.

Seven year old Justin Perry, nine year Nahcoliva Smith and 26 year old Tevin Hayle were shot and killed while in a taxi on November 6.
