A fatal crash and another serious collision on Thursday morning left one man dead and multiple hospitalised on Christmas Day in two separate incidents in St. Mary.
In one incident, a man identified only as a 58-year-old resident of Farm Hill, Exchange in St. Ann, died following a three-vehicle collision about 1:20 a.m. along the race course main road in St. Mary.
Three others sustained injuries in that collision.
Preliminary reports indicate that a black Toyota Isis, a white Mitsubishi Lancer, and a red Toyota Tacoma collided along the roadway.
The police say the circumstances surrounding the crash are unknown, however an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, the driver of a red Mazda CX-5 has been hospitalised after reportedly losing control of the vehicle along the Galina main road.
The vehicle reportedly slammed into a concrete light pole, destroying it and downing electrical wires before crashing into a nearby structure.
The car later overturned.
