A woman is in custody facing several charges after she allegedly threw a corrosive substance on her partner and his son at their home in Verbena Avenue off Bay Farm Road in St. Andrew on Tuesday.
The man, Christopher Clarke, a sales representative, believed to be in his forties, was seriously injured. He died in hospital on Wednesday.
His 13-year-old son, who has injuries to his upper body, remains hospitalised.
According to the Half Way Tree Police, the couple had a dispute over infidelity on Monday night. They retired to bed and, about 1:22 in the morning, the woman is said to have taken acid from the bathroom, which she allegedly used to douse Mr. Clarke and his son, who were asleep on a bed.
The couple shared two other children.
