More than $800 million to be spent on repairing farm roads

By Halshane Burke

The government is to spend at least $870 million to repair more than 80 farm roads.

Agriculture Minister Floyd Green says this is in addition to the $2 billion spent between 2019 and 2022 to repair close to 300 roads.

He says the work to be undertaken this year will include 20 farm roads damaged during Hurricane Beryl and Tropical Storm Rafael.

Of the roads slated for attention this year, 21 have already been completed with contracts signed for 46 others.
