Motorist charged after motorcyclist killed in Westmoreland crash

A motorist has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, following an incident on the Belmont main road last month.

Coleridge Brown was charged on Tuesday.

His court date is being finalised.

It is reported that on August 31, a motorcycle with two men aboard was travelling toward Whitehouse when it collided with a sports utility vehicle being driven by Brown, which had been travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the motorcycle, 20-year-old Terron Myrie, died at the scene while the pillion rider who was flung over the seawall sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
