A woman lost her
life and five others were injured in a motor vehicle accident on the Commissary Main Road
in May Pen Clarendon Saturday night.
Doreen Lindsay, 55, of Johns Hall in the parish was a passenger in a Toyota Hiace bus was travelling on the Commissary Main Road towards Frankfield, Clarendon when the driver, Devon Jackson, lost control of the vehicle.
The bus overturned and crashed into a shop.
The driver and his passengers were rushed to the Percy Junor Hospital where Ms Lindsay was pronounced dead.
Mr. Jackson and the other injured persons, Everett Wright of Orange Hill, Alroy Burgess, Vialna Blake and Carlene Spencer were admitted.
Mr. Burgess was later transferred to the Mandeville Hospital in Manchester.
