The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed Jamaica's decision to recognise the State of Palestine and join the international endeavor to implement the two-state solution.
The ministry has also expressed appreciation for the statements of Foreign Minister Kamina Johnson Smith, in which she urged all states to opt for diplomatic solutions rather than military options.
Mrs. Johnson Smith also reiterated Jamaica's support for an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages and increased access to humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza.
The Palestinian ministry says all countries should follow suit and recognise the State of Palestine.
