Supporters of the People's National Party (PNP) have been directed to challenge misinformation from their political opponents in the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).
PNP General Secretary Dr. Dayton Campbell says the government must be held accountable by the opposition, despite pronouncements to the contrary from Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness.
Speaking at a Norman Gardens Divisional Conference in Rockfort, Kingston on Sunday, Dr. Campbell said the Prime Minister is being dismissive of unattached voters.
"He is saying to those people, 'Shut your mouth. Mi nuh want hear nothing from yuh!' A him supporters alone him interested inna. That is what the Prime Minister is saying; that if you annuh Labourite, you na'ave nuh talk," the PNP general secretary asserted.
Dr. Campbell told PNP supporters that their assignment was to "get rid of this man, forthwith".
He urged them to "be proud, go out there, wear your colours; show them that PNP deh yah to. Go online when dem a talk dem foolishness and correct the foolishness that dem a talk."
