PNP wants Integrity Commission to probe quality of Southern Coastal Highway work

The opposition People's National Party is calling for the Integrity Commission to investigate the roadwork being carried out along the Southern Coastal Highway Improvement Project.

Opposition Spokesman on Transport Mikael Phillips says the roadway is constantly being dug up to carry out repairs, even after being officially opened by Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness some time ago.

Mr Phillips, speaking at meeting of the PNP in Clarendon on the weekend, claimed that the explanation given about bad material used to construct the roadway leaves many unanswered questions.
