The police killed three men in what they say was a "targeted operation" in Grange Hill, Westmoreland Monday morning.
Two illegal firearms and eight rounds of ammunition were reporedly seized.
It's reported that about 4:30, the police went to a house in a section of the community, known as Sticky Lane, in Top Lincoln district.
Details on what transpired are not yet available, but the men, who were occupants of the house, were shot and later pronounced dead at hospital.
An elderly resident told Radio Jamaica News that the incident had come as a shock as the community is usually peaceful.
