Agriculture Minister Floyd Green
Agriculture Minister Floyd Green says there has been a significant increase in arrests and convictions for praedial larceny up to September this year, when compared with last year.
Since January, there have been 32 convictions, compared with 2 for the same period last year.
Minister Green, speaking at a press conference in Trelawny on Thursday, said progress in the fight against praedial larceny has been bolstered by the Agricultural Protection Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
He added the Agricultural Protection Branch has made a notable impact in the recovery of stolen items.
