Portland police nab taxi driver implicated in robbery and shooting

The Portland Police said a taxi driver who was caught after he crashed his car at Kildare in Buff Bay Valley following a chase, is facing charges of robbery, shooting and illegal possession of a firearm.
Allegations are that he held up a couple at Mullet Hall Wednesday night.
The man was ordered to lay on the ground and the woman was ordered to remove all valuables and hand them over. 
However, quick action by the police resulted in the chase and subsequent apprehension of  the suspect.

The police said they found a .38 revolver with five rounds and a spent shell. The stolen items were recovered.
