Today, July 30, marks the 76th anniversary of the second worse train crash in Jamaica.
Thirty-two passengers were killed and more than 70 were injured when a train en route from Kingston to Montego Bay derailed outside of Balaclava, St Elizabeth in 1938.
Several of those killed were buried in the St Luke's Anglican Church grave yard where a monument has been erected.
The 1957 Kendal Train Crash in Manchester is the worst train crash in Jamaica's history. Approximately 200 passengers died in that tragedy.
