After days of disruptions to Real-Time Gross Settlement transfer (RTGS) one major bank says some transactions are now being processed, though network issues persist.
Scotiabank Jamaica says it is currently processing all incoming and outgoing RTGS transactions in its usual manner.
But while there is relief for some customers, Kimberly Gardner, Public Affairs and Communication Manager for the North and Central Caribbean, says there is still a challenge within the network which may result in some transactions not being honoured.
The delays in transfers via RTGS has been attributed to a number of factors including the new ISO 2022 standard instituted by the Bank of Jamaica.
Scotiabank says, where necessary, clients should make queries using the established client assistant channels which will allow for investigations and updates.
