Six firefighters electrocuted while putting out house fire in Greenwich Town

Six firefighters were electrocuted while responding to a house fire at Seventh Street in Greenwich Town, St. Andrew Tuesday morning.
 
The incident occurred sometime after 2 o'clock.
 
Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade Stewart Beckford told Radio Jamaica News that three firefighters came in contact with electrical wires.
 
Three other officers tried to assist when they were also electrocuted.
 
Three of them have been hospitalised.
