A man who was severely beaten by a group of men in St. Ann earlier this week has died in hospital.
He is 48-year-old Shawn Geminson, otherwise called 'Shanty', a singer of Eltham in Ocho Rios.
It was reported that on Tuesday, about 7:00 p.m., Geminson was attacked at a house by unknown assailants and severely beaten.
Before he died of his injuries on Wednesday, Geminson told investigators that he was lured into the house located in Eltham by three men.
While at the house, he said that the men started to beat him, breaking both of his arms.
He also sustained a wound to the left side of his face.
He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead Wednesday morning.
The Ocho Rios Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the incident.
