A 53-year-old woman was decapitated in Granville, St. James on Monday.
The headless body of Michelle Brown, a domestic helper, was found in her house.
Her son, who is said to be mentally ill, has been taken into custody in connection with her death.
It's reported that friends of Ms Brown became worried when she failed to show up for work Monday and calls to her cellphone went unaswered.
The police were called to her house and the body found on a bed.
