Sutherland Global closes South Camp Road location due to possible COVID-19 case

Sutherland Global Services closed its operations on South Camp Road in Kingston on Wednesday night amid a possible case of the coronavirus at the location.
 
This was disclosed by Country Head of Sutherland Global Services, Doug Almond, in a letter to staff.
 
Olivia Campbell, Project Manager at the company, who spoke Thursday on the Morning Agenda on Power 106, said a member of staff has had close contact with an employee of Alorica call centre in Portmore, where a number of COVID-19 cases have been cornfirmed. 
 
Sutherland Global is awaiting test results.
 
Its employees have been asked to self-quarantine.
 
During the period of closure, the site will be cleaned and fumigated.
 
Operations will resume on the advice of the Ministry of Health.
