The Bahamas Union of Teachers has given the government until today to complete its investigations, reiterating its position that a group of Cuban teachers it recently employed cannot speak English.
President of the union, Belinda Wilson, says she has written to the Ministry of Education to investigate and decide what it is going to do about the situation that is negatively affecting students and their learning process.
Last week, the government dismissed the union's claims, saying it was unfortunate that it was unable to send a representative to the interview panel.
