Three members of a family severely beaten by burglars in Trelawny

A 15 year-old girl has been hospitalised in serious condition after burglars invaded her home in Trelawny and attempted to bludgeon her and other family members to death in a violent attack on Sunday.
 
Radio Jamaica News has been informed that the child remains unconscious after being repeatedly hit with a blunt object. She has been transferred to a major medical facility and remains in serious condition.
 
Her mother, who was knocked unconscious by the criminals, is also in hospital.
 
It's understood that a 17 year old relative was also seriously wounded in the attack.
 
It's reported that the 39 year old mother was at home asleep along with her daughter and niece at Cotton Tree, Albert Town, about 2 am, when two masked men broke into the dwelling through a window.
 
The burglars first attacked the 17 year-old niece who received several blows to the head, but she managed to run from the house to seek assistance.
 
The police were summoned and on their arrival the mother was found unresponsive inside the house. Her 15 year -old daughter was found outside the house unconscious, with her hands bound.
