A senior trade union official has expressed disappointment with the size of the Portia Simpson Miller-led cabinet.
In the past, Mrs. Simpson-Miller has been highly critical of the size of the former Golding administration.
General Secretary of the Jamaica Association of Local Government Officers, ( JALGO), Helene Davis-Whyte, says she was not expecting the Prime Minister to appoint 19 members to the new political executive.
"Well I must say that I am surprised at the size , I expected a smaller cabinet based on the past criticism of the Bruce Golding Cabinet but that being said it is a good mix of youth and experience. In terms of her charge to her Ministers, I think it was the correct tone. The disappointment for me is the size of the Cabinet" she said.
