Two charged in relation to gun, ammo seizure in Manchester

 
The Manchester Police have charged two men in connection with Monday's seizure of an illegal gun and ammunition on the Battersea main road.
 
They are 27-year-old Chevaughn Bailey, a security guard of Wildcane district, St. Ann and 27-year-old Sean Reid of Alston district in Clarendon.
 
Both men have been charged with a possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition. 
 
Reports are that about 12:50 p.m., Bailey and Reid were aboard a motor vehicle that was signalled to stop by the police. 
 
The driver complied. 
 
It is reported that as the police approached, the passenger dropped a bag on the floor where he was seated.
 
The bag was retrieved by the police and found to contain one 9mm pistol with a magazine affixed containing 13 rounds of ammunition.
 
Bailey and Reid were taken into custody in relation to the find they were formally charged Tuesday after being questioned.
