The St. Andrew South Police are investigating the killing of two senior citizens at their homes on Tuesday.
They have been identified as 82-year-old Doris Gordon of Ashoka Road and 90-year-old Cliffton Williams of Sandy Lane in Drewsland.
It's reported that about 2:10 p.m., residents found Ms Gordon's body with the throat slashed.
Investigators say Mr. Williams, who was last seen on Sunday, was found dead in his yard.
It was first thought that he died of natural causes. However, Superintendent Kirk Ricketts, head of the St. Andrew South Police, told Radio Jamaica News that investigators now classify the case as murder, as a wound was found to the back of his head.
Superintendent Ricketts said the killings are unrelated.
Investigators are reportedly following leads in Ms Gordon's murder.
