The St. Andrew South Police are trying to determine the motive which led to the beheading of a man in the Greenwich Town community.

The head of the unidentified man was discovered sometime Sunday night.

Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit, told Radio Jamaica News that investigators are trying to identify the individual.

"It's an investigation that is currently ongoing. In the meantime, we want to ask any individual or family members, if you reported a loved one lost, missing or someone in your family that you have not heard from and cannot account for, to make contact with the Hunts Bay Police and to see if it could be the individual that you are missing," she said.
