US transportation authorities give update after ship crashes in Brooklyn Bridge

US transportation authorities are holding a news conference after a Mexican Navy ship crashed into New York's Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday.

National transportation safety board members told reporters there is no structural damage to the bridge after the crash.

Two young Mexican Navy cadets were killed when the ARM Cuauhtémoc's three masts were snapped as the ship ploughed into the iconic structure, which links Manhattan to Brooklyn.

The Mexican Navy ship says 22 other crew members were injured, three of them critically.
