Five more COVID-19 deaths

Jamaica has recorded five more deaths from coronavirus, with the death toll since the start of the pandemic now standing at 3,267.

The Ministry of Health & Wellness reported that the deaths were recorded during the period March to September.

Seventy-nine new cases were confirmed on Saturday from a little more than 600 samples, representing an infection rate of 17.5 per cent.

Up to Saturday there were 124 patients in hospital with the virus, six of them critically ill and two severely ill.
