Basdeo Panday, former PM of Trinidad & Tobago, has died

Former Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago Basdeo Panday has died.
His death was announced by daughter Mickela.
Panday celebrated his 90th birthday on May 25, saying he had no intention of being anywhere else in the world, other than his beloved Trinidad & Tobago, with family and friends.
In public life he was a lawyer, politician, trade unionist, economist, actor, and civil servant who served as the fifth prime minister of Trinidad & Tobago from 1995 to 2001.
He was the founder of the United National Congress and remained political leader until 2010.
