Regional carrier Caribbean Airlines says it is not facing closure and has moved to reassure customers and stakeholders that its operations remain fully active.
The carrier, in a media release issued on Tuesday, said its board of directors has rejected any claims that the company is shutting down, adding that no discussion has taken place regarding possible closure.
The statement follows recent public speculation triggered by a media report.
Caribbean Airlines said it is reviewing its operations as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the business and improve long-term sustainability.
These efforts are aimed at maintaining reliable service and strong regional connectivity, it said.
The company also confirmed that work on its audited financial statements is ongoing and that it is in the process of recruiting key senior management personnel to support its strategic direction.
