Several guns and ammunition were recovered in the Bahamas on the weekend.
Police confiscated four (4) firearms in Nassau in separate incidents, which led to the arrest of eight (8) adults.
Officers from "Operation Blitz," including the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, and the Department of Immigration, acting on intelligence, executed a search warrant at licensed premises where they seized two firearms on Saturday night.
Two others were seized in separate incidents in Nassau on Sunday.
Meanwhile, police in Abaco confiscated two (2) unlicensed firearms during separate incidents on Sunday.
No arrests were made in connection with the incidents in Abaco.
