St. Kitts-Nevis, PAHO collaborate on enhancing public health systems amid rising concerns over gun violence

St. Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has held talks with the Director of the Pan American Health Organisation, Dr Jarbas Barbosa da Silva junior, on the urgent need to fortify public health systems across Small Island Developing States.
 
The bilateral meeting was held on the sidelines of the 61st  PAHO Directing Council meeting that began at the PAHO Headquarters in Washington yesterday. 
 
It also highlighted the matter of gun violence, which Prime Minister Drew deemed a serious public health crisis.
