Taiwan ambassador to St. Vincent rejects China's sovereignty claim

Taiwan's Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Fiona Huei-Chun Fan, has dismissed a claim by China that it naturally has and exercises China's full sovereignty, including the sovereignty of Taiwan.

Fan said neither Taiwan nor China is subordinate to the other, reiterating that the Chinese communist regime has never governed Taiwan, which it considers a renegade province.

She says no distortion of Taiwan's sovereign status can change the internationally recognised status quo across the Taiwan Strait.
