Alleged abuse saga between Craig Butler and son Kyle deepens

National Under-23 footballer Kyle Butler and his father Craig Butler have secured the services of separate attorneys after the younger Butler made social media posts over the last 72 hours alleging physical abuse by his father.

Less than 24 hours after Craig Butler labelled Kyle's allegations of physical abuse as "unfounded", his lawyer Christopher Townsend speaking with Radio Jamaica Sports by phone on Wednesday, indicated they are seeking to settle the matter privately.

When Radio Jamaica Sports contacted Kyle's mother, Sophia Butler, who is Craig's ex-wife by phone on Wednesday afternoon, she declined to comment on the matter and also noted that Kyle would not be granting any more interviews to the media.
