The Aquatic Sports Association of Jamaica (ASAJ) says it has officially closed the issue of outstanding reimbursements owed to its president Lance Rochester.

This comes two months after the sudden resignation of treasurer Richard Hopkins over what he described as an "untenable leadership situation" within the association.

However, the ASAJ in a press release Friday evening, said a full review confirmed all expenses submitted by Rochester were legitimate and properly documented.

As such, the ASAJ says all approved payments, including international travel and funds he covered for the water polo coach between 2023 and 2025, have now been completed.

The association admitted that the delays caused uncertainty, but says the matter is resolved, adding that reimbursement procedures are being strengthened.

The council has also reaffirmed confidence in president Rochester as elections loom in a week's time.
