Bobsleigh ladies look to garner points for Winter Games

Voice of Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation Executive Kathleen Pulito

Jamaica's first ever bobsleigh medalists, Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian and Carrie Russell might have to wait until the last minute to amass enough points for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

This, as the Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation struggles to find funds to enter the two-woman team in events leading up to qualification.

“In order to get enough points you have to enter a certain number of races. We are also looking again at next season during the North American Cup tour so that should be able to get them enough points to qualify,” said Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation executive Kathleen Pulito.

The ladies who are currently in Park City, Utah doing off-the-ice training, are also due to make a trip to Asia, which is proving difficult for the federation to fund.
